WHY PAY FOR THIS WORKSHOP/SUPPORT GROUP?
You might be thinking to yourself, why should I pay for the workshop/support group when I can just buy the book for a fraction of the cost and read it myself? Excellent question for which I have several responses:
- Proven Success: Initial research, based on a 13-week version of the workshop, indicates that up to 73% of participants are much or very much improved by the end of the group sessions. Further research indicates that participants improved significantly more than people on a waiting list for the workshop/support group.
- Structured Guidance: The workshop provides a clear framework and timeline, helping you navigate the material systematically and ensuring comprehensive coverage of key concepts.
- Personalized Insights – Facilitator Brenda Tringali, Certified Professional Organizer®, can offer tailored strategies based on your specific challenges, which a book alone cannot provide. This can help you troubleshoot obstacles and apply techniques effectively.
- Enhanced Motivation: Regular meetings and group dynamics can boost your commitment to the process, reducing procrastination and promoting consistent progress.
- Community & Shared Experience – The support group allows you to connect with others who share similar struggles, reducing isolation and offering encouragement. Hearing others’ experiences and successes can be inspiring and help reinforce change.
- Guided Support & Accountability – A workshop provides structure, guidance provided by a Certified Professional Organizer®, and a supportive group environment to keep you accountable and motivated. We will help you stay on track with your goals and provide gentle reminders when needed.
- Emotional Support – Decluttering and overcoming hoarding behaviors can be emotionally challenging. Sharing your challenges in a non-judgmental setting can alleviate feelings of shame or guilt, promoting emotional healing and self-acceptance. Having a professional and peers to support you through the process can make it easier to face difficult decisions. Building relationships within the group can provide ongoing support beyond the duration of the workshop, offering a community to turn to during future challenges.
- Celebration of Successes: The group setting provides a platform to celebrate milestones and achievements, reinforcing positive behaviors and encouraging continued effort.
- Past Results Can Predict Future Behavior: How many times have you tried to downsize your clutter on your own but have been unsuccessful? As they say, the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again but expecting a different result. Many people struggle to apply self-help books independently, and a group setting such as this workshop/support group helps reinforce progress. The time has come to try something different!
- You’re worth it! This is an investment in yourself and your future to not only purge your current excess but also to learn maintenance strategies and better habits to prevent future regression.
